I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I had intended to go out for jihad with you, seeking by that the face of Allah and the Hereafter."He said, "Woe to you, is your mother alive?"I said, "Yes."He said, "Go back and be dutiful to her."Then I approached him from the other side and said, "Messenger of Allah, I had intended to go out for jihad with you, seeking by that the face of Allah and the Hereafter."He said, "Woe to you, is your mother alive?"I said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Then go back to her and be dutiful to her."Then I came to him from in front of him and said, "Messenger of Allah, I had intended to go out for jihad with you, seeking by that the face of Allah and the Hereafter."He said, "Woe to you, is your mother alive?"I said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Woe to you, stay at her feet, for there lies Paradise."Harun bin Abdullah Hammal narrated to us, Hajjaj bin Muhammad narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, saying that Muhammad bin Talha bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr Siddiq informed him, from his father Talha, from Muawiya bin Jahima Sulami, that Jahima came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned something similar.Abu Abdullah Ibn Majah said, this Jahima is Jahima bin Abbas bin Mirdas Sulami, the one who reproached the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Hunayn.

أتيت رسول الله ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله إني كنت أردت الجهاد معك أبتغي بذلك وجه الله والدار الآخرة قال ويحك أحية أمك قلت نعم قال ارجع فبرها ثم أتيته من الجانب الآخر فقلت يا رسول الله إني كنت أردت الجهاد معك أبتغي بذلك وجه الله والدار الآخرة قال ويحك أحية أمك قلت نعم يا رسول الله قال فارجع إليها فبرها ثم أتيته من أمامه فقلت يا رسول الله إني كنت أردت الجهاد معك أبتغي بذلك وجه الله والدار الآخرة قال ويحك أحية أمك قلت نعم يا رسول الله قال ويحك الزم رجلها فثم الجنة حدثنا هارون بن عبد الله الحمال حدثنا حجاج بن محمد حدثنا ابن جريج أخبرني محمد بن طلحة بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر الصديق عن أبيه طلحة عن معاوية بن جاهمة السلمي أن جاهمة أتى النبي ﷺ فذكر نحوه قال أبو عبد الله بن ماجة هذا جاهمة بن عباس بن مرداس السلمي الذي عاتب النبي ﷺ يوم حنين
