[Sahih] Tabarani transmitted it, 10/413, no. 10844, from the hadith of Walid bin Muslim, 255, through him, and he did not explicitly state the continuous chain of hearing. Amash also transmitted with ambiguous attribution (an'ana), as noted previously at no. 178. The hadith has a corroborating witness in Bukhari, 2783, and others, and Muslim, no. 1353, and others besides them, from the hadith of Tawus, from Ibn Abbas, through him, with similar wording.
