The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies while stationed on guard in the path of Allah will continue to receive the reward of the righteous deeds he used to perform, his sustenance will continue to flow to him, he will be safe from the trials of the grave, and Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection secure from terror."
Takhrij, [Sahih] Abu Awana narrated it in his Mustakhraj on Sahih Muslim, 5/91, from Yunus with the same wording, and Busiri said, "This isnad is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy." Mabad bin Abdullah was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Hibban, Busiri, and others, and the hadith is sahih. His hadith has corroborating narrations in Muslim, hadith no. 1913, and elsewhere, and by them.
