The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever meets Allah without bearing any mark earned in the path of Allah will meet Him with a deficiency in himself."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا الوليد حدثنا أبو رافع هو إسمعيل بن رافع عن سمي مولى أبي بكر عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ من لقي الله وليس له أثر في سبيل الله لقي الله وفيه ثلمة
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Tirmidhi narrated it in the book of Virtues of Jihad, chapter "What Has Been Said About the Merit of the Frontier Guard," hadith no. 1666, via the route of Walid bin Muslim with the same wording, and he said, "Gharib."
