The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is disbelief for a person to claim a lineage that is not his, or to deny his own lineage, however slight it may be."
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الله حدثنا سليمان بن بلال عن يحيى بن سعيد
أن النبي ﷺ قال كفر بامرئ ادعاء نسب لا يعرفه أو جحده وإن دق
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Tabarani narrated it in al-Saghir (2/108), via the route of Anas bin Iyad, from Yahya bin Saeed Ansari, with the same wording, and said, "No one narrated it from Yahya bin Saeed except Anas bin Iyad." He graded it sahih, since Yahya was not known to conceal gaps in transmission, as al-Hafiz established in al-Nukat ala Ibn Salah (2/637, 638), and Busiri likewise.I say, both he and his hadith have corroborating witnesses.
