The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies having left a will dies upon the right path and the sunnah, dies upon piety and martyrdom, and dies forgiven."

[Its chain of transmission is very daif]. Busiri declared it daif. Ibn Adi recorded it in 5/1685 from Baqiyyah, who said, "Yazid bin Awf narrated to me, Umar bin Subh narrated to me, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir," with similar wording... etc.Yazid is unknown (as noted in Taqrib). Umar bin Subh is an abandoned narrator, and Ibn Rahawayh likewise called him a liar. Perhaps because his unreliability was so plain, Muhammad bin Musaffa omitted him from the chain, and he used to practice tadlis, as mentioned in Taqrib and elsewhere. Baqiyyah has already been discussed, see hadiths no. 712 and 551.
