I came to the Prophet ﷺ with my son, and he said, "He shall not bear the consequences of your crimes, nor shall you bear the consequences of his."
حدثنا عمرو بن رافع حدثنا هشيم عن يونس عن حصين بن أبي الحر
أتيت النبي ﷺ ومعي ابني فقال لا تجني عليه ولا يجني عليك
[Sahih] Ahmad narrated it (4/344, 345) from Hushaym, "Yunus bin Ubayd informed us," with this wording. He said, "Hushaym once said, 'Yunus said, "A source informed me on the authority of Husayn bin Abu Hurr."'" (See also Musnad, 5/81.) The chain is daif because the source is unidentified, but the preceding hadith supports it. The hadith also has another route in Bayhaqi (8/27).
