[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Blood Money, Chapter on the Blood Money for Limbs, no. 4556, through Abu Dawud and others, the hadith of Saeed, and he explicitly stated the direct hearing in Bayhaqi, 8/92. The hadith has other routes as well, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1527.
