Hasan. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the chapters on inheritance shares, in the chapter on the invalidation of the killer's inheritance, hadith 2109, from the hadith of Layth, with the same wording. See number 345 for its defect. It has a hasan corroborating narration in Abu Dawud, hadith 4564, and elsewhere.
