We were presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Qurayzah. Whoever had grown pubic hair was killed, and whoever had not was let go. I was among those who had not, so I was let go.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وعلي بن محمد قالا حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الملك بن عمير قال سمعت
عرضنا على رسول الله ﷺ يوم قريظة فكان من أنبت قتل ومن لم ينبت خلي سبيله فكنت فيمن لم ينبت فخلي سبيلي
[Sahih] Tirmidhi transmitted it in his chapter on military campaigns, in the section on descending upon a ruling, hadith 1584, from the hadith of Waki with this wording, and he said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, hadith 1045. Refer to Nail al-Maqsud, hadith 4404.
