The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Carry out the prescribed punishments of Allah on the near and the distant alike, and let no blame from any critic deter you in the cause of Allah."
[Hasan] Abdullah bin Ahmad narrated it in Zawaid al-Musnad (5/330) from Malfuj, at length, and Diya included it in al-Mukhtarah. It contains a serious flaw, namely the use of "an" (indicating an unspecified chain) by Ubayda bin Aswad, since he was a mudallis, listed in the third rank of the classes of mudallisin according to Ibn Hajar. It has a corroborating narration in Bayhaqi (9/103, 104), which contains Mansur Khawlani, for whom I found no biographical notice, and his teacher Ghaylan bin Anas, whom Ibn Hibban rated as reliable. The hadith has many corroborating narrations.
