[Its chain is daif] Narrated by Nasai, Cutting Off the Thief, Encouragement to Establish the Punishment, no. 4908, from the hadith of Ibn Mubarak, with this wording. Jareer bin Yazid Bajali is daif as stated in Taqrib and elsewhere.Ibn Hibban narrated it (Mawarid), no. 1507, through the route of Muhammad bin Hasan Ibn Qutayba (Asqalani, whom Daraqutni and Dhahabi and others rated trustworthy), from (Muhammad) Ibn Qudama Masissi (whom Daraqutni, Ibn Hibban and others rated trustworthy), who said, Ibn Ulaya narrated to us from Yunus bin Ubayd from Amr bin Saeed from Abu Zura, with this wording, and so on. Its chain is daif due to several defects, among them the tadlis of Yunus bin Ubayd.Tabarani narrated in Saghir, 2/72, from Muhammad bin Abdul-Samad bin Abu Jarrah Muqri Masissi, who said, Muhammad bin Qudama Jawhari narrated to us, who said, Ismail Ibn Ulaya narrated to us from Yunus bin Ubayd from Jareer bin Yazid from Abu Zura, with this wording, and so on. He said, Muhammad bin Qudama narrated it alone. Amr bin Zurara (trustworthy) narrated it from Ibn Ulaya from Yunus from Jareer from Abu Zura from Abu Hurairah, with this wording. Nasai narrated it.The hadith has a daif corroborating witness with Tabarani in Awsat, 5/384, no. 4762. Haythami said regarding one of its narrators, Zurayq bin Sakht, "I do not know him" (6/263). It also contains Affan bin Jubayr Tai, who needs to be examined. Nevertheless, Munziri and Iraqi graded it hasan.
