The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Surplus water must not be withheld, nor should the standing water of a well be denied."
حدثنا عبد الله بن سعيد حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن حارثة عن عمرة
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يمنع فضل الماء ولا يمنع نقع البئر
[Hasan] Bayhaqi narrated it, 6/152, 153, from the hadith of Haritha through this route, and he said, "This Haritha is daif." Busiri graded it daif because of him, but he was not the only one to narrate it. Hakim narrated it, 2/61, 62, and others, through the route of Muhammad bin Abu Rijal, from Amrah, through this route, and Hakim and Dhahabi graded it sahih. Its chain of transmission is hasan.
