The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "An animal that is given as collateral may be ridden if it is suitable for riding, and the milk of a milk-giving animal may be drunk if it is given as collateral. The one who rides it and drinks its milk must bear the cost of its upkeep."

قال رسول الله ﷺ الظهر يركب إذا كان مرهونا ولبن الدر يشرب إذا كان مرهونا وعلى الذي يركب ويشرب نفقته
