The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never seen eating while reclining, nor were two men ever seen walking behind him at his heels.Abu al-Hasan said, Hazim bin Yahya narrated to us, Ibrahim bin al-Hajjaj al-Sami narrated to us, Hammad bin Salama narrated to us.Abu al-Hasan said, Ibrahim bin Nasr al-Hamdani, the owner of the qafiz, narrated to us, Musa bin Ismail narrated to us, Hammad bin Salama narrated to us.

Reported by Abu Dawud, Food, chapter "On Eating While Reclining," no. 3771, from Musa, no. 3771, Ibn Ismail narrated it likewise.Shuayb is Ibn Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Amr, and his statement "from his father" means from his grandfather, Abdullah bin Amr, as in Tuhfat Ashraf (6/302, no. 8656), and similarly in Mustadrak (4/279).
