The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes for Allah to shade him under His shade, let him grant a debtor in difficulty more time, or forgive part of the debt for him."
حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم الدورقي حدثنا إسمعيل بن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن بن إسحق عن عبد الرحمن بن معاوية عن حنظلة بن قيس
قال رسول الله ﷺ من أحب أن يظله الله في ظله فلينظر معسرا أو ليضع له
Graded sahih. Ahmad reported it, 3/427, from Ismail bin Ibrahim with this chain, and its basis is found in Sahih Muslim, in the Book of Asceticism, chapter of the long hadith of Jabir and the story of Abu Yusr, hadith 3006, through another route from Abu Yusr with this chain, and by this the hadith is confirmed sahih, because Abdul-Rahman bin Muawiya Zurqi is daif according to the more correct view.
