Ibn Majah 2412

Sourcing, sahih. Reported by Tirmidhi, Book of Military Expeditions, chapter on what has been said regarding misappropriation of war spoils, hadith no. 1573, from the hadith of Saeed bin Abu Aruba, through this route, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Mawarid), hadith no. 1676. Muhammad bin Harun Ruyani said in his Musnad, 1/404, hadith no. 612, Abu Khattab told us, Yazid bin Zuray told us, Saeed bin Abu Aruba told us, Qatada told us, through this route. Abu Awana followed him, narrating from Qatada through this route (Hq, 9/101). Hakim graded it sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, 2/26, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Hammam and Aban followed both of them (Musnad Ahmad, 5/276), as did Shuba (Ahmad, 5/281, 282, Atraf Musnad, 1/668), narrating from Qatada through this route.Shuba's narration from Qatada indicates that Qatada explicitly stated that he heard directly from his teacher, as is established in the principles of the discipline, and as I have verified in Taseesin the matter of tadlis. Hakim reported in Tarikh Naysabur, with a sahih chain, from Shuba, who said, "I have spared you the tadlis of three narrators, Amash, Abu Ishaq, and Qatada." Muhammad bin Tahir Maqdisi reported this through his route in Masalat Tasmiya, p. 47.Salim was accused of tadlis, but this has not been established regarding him.
