The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah is with the debtor until he settles his debt, so long as the debt is not for something Allah dislikes."Abdullah bin Jafar used to say to his treasurer, "Go and take out a loan for me, for I hate to spend a single night without Allah being with me, after what I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
حدثنا إبراهيم بن المنذر حدثنا ابن أبي فديك حدثنا سعيد بن سفيان مولى الأسلميين عن جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ كان الله مع الدائن حتى يقضي دينه ما لم يكن فيما يكره الله قال فكان عبد الله بن جعفر يقول لخازنه اذهب فخذ لي بدين فإني أكره أن أبيت ليلة إلا والله معي بعد الذي سمعت من رسول الله ﷺ
Takhrij. [Its chain is hasan] Hakim narrated it (23/2), from the hadith of Ibn Abu Fudayk with this wording, and said, chain is sahih. Dhahabi said, sahih. Busiri said, this is a sahih chain, its narrators are trustworthy. Hafiz said in Fath al-Bari (54/5), its chain is hasan.Saeed bin Sufyan was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Hibban and Hakim, and there is disagreement between Dhahabi and Asqalani regarding him, so his hadith does not fall below the level of hasan, and it has many corroborating witnesses.
