The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man has the greater right to his gift so long as he has not been compensated for it."

Its chain is daif. Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it, 6/474, from Waki, and likewise 6/474, from Waki, and Busiri said, "This chain is daif due to the weakness of Ibrahim bin Ismail bin Mujammi." See also 1069, 2250.
