The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am only a human being, and it may be that some of you are more eloquent in presenting your argument than others. So whoever I rule in favor of by granting him something that rightfully belongs to his brother, I am only granting him a piece of the Fire."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا محمد بن بشر حدثنا محمد بن عمرو عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن
قال رسول الله ﷺ إنما أنا بشر ولعل بعضكم أن يكون ألحن بحجته من بعض فمن قطعت له من حق أخيه قطعة فإنما أقطع له قطعة من النار
[Isnad graded hasan] Ahmad (2/332) narrated it from Muhammad bin Bishr, with this same chain. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Mawarid), no. 1197, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr, and Busiri said, "This isnad is sahih."
