The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the wealthy to keep sheep and commanded the poor to keep chickens, and he said, "When the wealthy take to keeping chickens, Allah permits the destruction of towns."

[Its chain of transmission is fabricated] Abu Saeed bin Aarabi transmitted it in al-Mujam, by way of Uthman bin Abdul-Rahman Harrani, from him. Busiri said, "This chain is daif. Ali bin Urwa, they abandoned him." Ibn Hibban said he fabricates hadith, and Hafiz said in al-Taqreeb, "Matrook (abandoned)." It has another version with Ibn Jawzi in al-Mawdooat. Aqeeli transmitted it by another route which contains a liar and an abandoned narrator.
