The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah brighten the face of a person who hears my words and conveys them, for many a bearer of knowledge is not himself a person of understanding, and many a bearer of knowledge carries it to one who understands it better than he does."Ali bin Muhammad added in his version, "Three things over which the heart of a Muslim harbors no malice: sincerity in deeds for the sake of Allah, offering sincere counsel to the leaders of the Muslims, and adhering to their united community."

[Hasan] Tabarani reported it in Al-Kabir, 5/154, hadith 4924, from the hadith of Ibn Numayr and others, from Layth, previously mentioned at hadith 208. His hadith has strong supporting evidence in Abu Dawud, Hakim, and others.
