I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pass by the side of a man who had food in a container. He put his hand into it and said, "Perhaps you have cheated. Whoever cheats us is not one of us."

[Its isnad is extremely daif] Dulabi narrated it in al-Kuna, 1/25, and Abu Naeem al-Isbahani (as cited in Tahzib Kamal, folio 3/(1600)) from the hadith of Abu Naeem Fadl bin Dukayn with the same wording.Abu Dawud here is al-Aama, as stated in Fath al-Bab fi al-Kuna wal-Alqab by Ibn Manda, p. 280, and others.
