The Messenger of Allah ﷺ bought a load of fodder leaves from one of the Arabis. When the sale was concluded, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You have the choice."The Arabi replied, "May Allah grant you long life as a buyer!"

Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapter on sales, in the section on what has been said about the option of the two parties to a sale, hadith 1249, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, with this wording, and he said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith." Hakim graded it sahih (2/49), according to the criterion of Muslim, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Daraqutni said (3/21), "All of them are trustworthy." Ibn Jurayj stated explicitly that he heard it directly. See hadith 395 for its defect. The hadith has corroborating mursal narrations found in Bayhaqi and others.
