The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The buyer and the seller have the option to cancel the transaction as long as they have not parted."
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى وإسحق بن منصور قالا حدثنا عبد الصمد حدثنا شعبة عن قتادة عن الحسن
قال رسول الله ﷺ البيعان بالخيار ما لم يتفرقا
[Its isnad is hasan]. Nasai narrated it, 7/251, no. 4486, 4487, from the hadith of Qatada, through this route.Hasan's narration from Samura is from a book, as Nasai stated (Awn al-Mabud 2/19 and elsewhere), and likewise Bahz bin Assad, Yahya Qattan, and others stated the same. This does not necessitate a discontinuity (Tahdhib al-Tahdhib 2/234, Jami Tahsil, p. 165), because narrating from a book is either through ijaza or munawala, and both are sahih. For further detail, see Nayl Maqsud fi Talliq ala Sunan Abu Dawud, no. 354. May Allah make it easy for us to have it published.
