The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No man earns anything better than what he earns with his own hands, and whatever a man spends on himself, his family, his children, and his servant is charity."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا إسمعيل بن عياش عن بحير بن سعد عن خالد بن معدان
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما كسب الرجل كسبا أطيب من عمل يده وما أنفق الرجل على نفسه وأهله وولده وخادمه فهو صدقة
[Hasan] Ahmad reported it, 4/132, from the hadith of Ismail with a similar meaning, and Baqiyyah, narrating from Buhayr, followed him with a similar wording, also in Musnad of Imam Ahmad, and Busiri graded it hasan. Its basis is found in Sahih Bukhari, no. 2072, and elsewhere, and it has a corroborating witness.
