Abu Qasim ﷺ said, "If one of you persists in his oath, it is more sinful for him before Allah than the expiation which He has commanded."Muhammad bin Yahya narrated to us, Yahya bin Salih al-Wuhazi narrated to us, Muawiya bin Salam narrated to us from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Ikrima, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.
حدثنا سفيان بن وكيع حدثنا محمد بن حميد المعمري عن معمر عن همام قال سمعت
قال أبو القاسم ﷺ إذا استلج أحدكم في اليمين فإنه آثم له عند الله من الكفارة التي أمر بها و حدثنا محمد بن يحيى حدثنا يحيى بن صالح الوحاظى حدثنا معاوية بن سلام عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن عكرمة عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ نحوه
(A) [Sahih] Abdul-Razzaq narrated it, no. 16036, from Mamar with similar wording.
