The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has relieved my community of accountability for mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are compelled to do."
حدثنا محمد بن المصفى الحمصي حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثنا الأوزاعي عن عطاء
عن النبي ﷺ قال إن الله وضع عن أمتي الخطأ والنسيان وما استكرهوا عليه
[Sahih]. Bayhaqi (7/356, 357) narrated it from the hadith of Muhammad bin Musaffa, transmitted through him. Daraqutni (4/170, 171) and Bayhaqi (7/356) and others also narrated it through the route of Bishr, who said, Uzai narrated to us, from Ataa, from Ubayd bin Umayr, from Ibn Abbas, transmitted through him with a similar meaning. Bayhaqi said, "Bishr bin Bakr strengthened its isnad, and he is among the trustworthy," and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Mawarid, no. 1498), as did Hakim (2/198) and Dhahabi, the chain being composed of trustworthy narrators and others, and it has many corroborating witnesses.
