The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned his daughter Zaynab to Abu al-As bin Rabi through a new marriage contract.
حدثنا أبو كريب قال حدثنا أبو معاوية عن حجاج
أن رسول الله ﷺ رد ابنته زينب على أبي العاص بن الربيع بنكاح جديد
[Its chain is daif] Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapter on marriage, in the section on what has been said regarding a married couple who are polytheists when one of them accepts Islam, hadith no. 1142, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya, through him. See also nos. 496 and 1129 for its defect.
