When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Madinah as a bridegroom newly married to Safiya bint Huyayy, the women of the Ansar came and brought back news about her.Aisha said, "I disguised myself, put on a veil, and went out. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at my eyes and recognized me. I turned away and quickened my pace, but he caught up with me, embraced me, and asked, 'What did you think of her?'"She said, "I replied, 'Let me go, a Jewess among Jewesses.'"

لما قدم رسول الله ﷺ المدينة وهو عروس بصفية بنت حيي جئن نساء الأنصار فأخبرن عنها قالت فتنكرت وتنقبت فذهبت فنظر رسول الله ﷺ إلى عيني فعرفني قالت فالتفت فأسرعت المشي فأدركني فاحتضنني فقال كيف رأيت قالت قلت أرسل يهودية وسط يهوديات
