Ibn Majah 1967

Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Marriage, chapter "Marry the one whose religion pleases you," hadith no. 1084, from the hadith of Abdul-Hameed as such, and he related from Bukhari that he did not consider the hadith of Abdul-Hameed to be preserved.Abdul-Hameed bin Sulayman is daif (according to Taqrib). The trustworthy Layth bin Saad contradicted him, narrating it from Ibn Ajlan from Abu Hurairah as such, but disconnected. Ibn Ajlan is a mudallis of the third rank according to Hafiz in Tabaqat al-Mudallisin, and he narrated with "an" (without specifying direct hearing). Despite this, Hakim declared it sahih in 2/164, 165, but Dhahabi criticized this ruling.It has a corroborating report in Tirmidhi from the hadith of Abu Hatim Muzani, which he graded hasan, but it contains a daif narrator and two unknown narrators. These two have a corroborating report from the hadith of Ibn Umar, though it cannot be used as corroboration. I have only mentioned it to draw attention to it. Nasai said about it, "This is a fabrication," and Ibn Adi, who narrated it, declared it invalid.
