The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not tell you about the borrowed billy goat?"They said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "It is the muhallil. May Allah curse the muhallil and the one for whom he makes lawful."
حدثنا يحيى بن عثمان بن صالح المصري حدثنا أبي قال سمعت الليث بن سعد يقول قال لي أبو مصعب مشرح بن هاعان قال
قال رسول الله ﷺ ألا أخبركم بالتيس المستعار قالوا بلى يا رسول الله قال هو المحلل لعن الله المحلل والمحلل له
Takhrij, [hasan] Tabarani narrated it (Kabir 17/299), h: 825, from the hadith of Abu Salih, from Layth, with this wording. Hakim declared it sahih (2/198), and so did Dhahabi, though it contains a serious flaw, as noted by Hafiz Abdull-Haq Ishbili and Hafiz bin Taymiyyah and others. And h: 1934 serves as a corroborating witness for it.
