The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The previously married woman is entitled to three days, and the virgin to seven."

[Hasan] See no. 1209 for its underlying issue, and Bukhari related it, no. 5214, and Muslim, no. 1461, from the hadith of Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Anas, who said, "It is from the sunnah that when a man marries a virgin after having a previously married woman, he stays with her seven nights and then resumes the rotation, and when he marries a previously married woman after having a virgin, he stays with her three nights and then resumes the rotation," with supporting corroborations.
