The Prophet ﷺ held the wedding feast for Safiyyah with parched barley and dates.
حدثنا محمد بن أبي عمر العدني وغياث بن جعفر الرحبي قالا حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة حدثنا وائل بن داود عن ابنه عن الزهري
أن النبي ﷺ أولم على صفية بسويق وتمر
[Hasan] Abu Dawud, Food, chapter on the desirability of the wedding feast, no. 3744, narrated it from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyaynah through this route, and Tirmidhi graded it hasan, no. 1095, and it has corroborating narrations in Bukhari and Muslim and others.
