I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever wishes to meet Allah pure and purified, let him marry free women."

[Its chain of transmission is extremely daif] Ibn Adi narrated it in al-Kamil from the hadith of Sallam, and from that route Ibn Jawzi cited it in al-Mawduat, 2/261, saying, "It is not sound." Sallam is daif (Taqrib), and likewise his teacher (also). In fact, Ibn Hibban said, "He narrates from Anas things that are not from his hadith and fabricates upon him." The hadith was declared daif by Busiri, Munziri, and others. It has a corroborating witness in Bukhari's Tarikh al-Kabir, 8/404, without a chain of transmission. Allah knows best its true state.
