The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one gives in charity from what is lawfully earned, for Allah accepts only what is good and pure, except that the Most Merciful takes it in His right hand. Even if it is a single date, it grows in the palm of the Most Merciful until it becomes greater than a mountain. He nurtures it for the giver just as one of you raises his foal or young camel."
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Zakat, Chapter on Accepting Charity from Lawful Earnings and Its Growth, no. 1014, from the hadith of Layth through this chain, and its basis is found in Bukhari, no. 1410, 7430, and elsewhere.
