The Prophet ﷺ would not go out on the day of Eid al-Fitr until he had eaten some dates.
حدثنا جبارة بن المغلس حدثنا هشيم عن عبيد الله بن أبي بكر
كان النبي ﷺ لا يخرج يوم الفطر حتى يطعم تمرات
Bukhari narrated it (Eids, chapter on eating on the day of Fitr before going out, no. 953, from the hadith of Hushaym, with the same wording, and he stated explicitly that he heard it directly).
