I had the predawn meal with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It was already daytime, except that the sun had not yet risen.
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن عاصم عن زر
تسحرت مع رسول الله ﷺ هو النهار إلا أن الشمس لم تطلع
[Hasan] Abu Bakr bin Ayyash is daif, as mentioned previously, no. 855, but he is corroborated by Hammad bin Salama in Ahmad (5/396, no. 23753). Nasai also narrated it through two sahih chains from Huzaifa with similar wording as a stopped narration, nos. 2155, 2156, with the wording, "I ate suhur with Huzaifa, then we went out to the prayer. When we arrived at the masjid, we prayed two rakahs, and the call to prayer was given, with only a short while between them," no. 2155.
