The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who fasts Ramadan while traveling is like one who breaks his fast while at home."

[Its isnad is daif] Abu Salama did not hear from his father, as Ali bin Madini, Ahmad, Ibn Main and others have said, and Zuhri narrated with "an" (indicating a possible break in the chain), and there is another defect in it. Nasai narrated it, 4/183, hadith no. 2286, 2288, from Zuhri through this same chain, stopped at the companion, with similar wording.
