Regarding the fasting of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, she said, "He used to fast the whole of Shaban, joining it to Ramadan."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا يحيى بن حمزة حدثني ثور بن يزيد عن خالد بن معدان عن ربيعة بن الغاز أنه
عن صيام رسول الله ﷺ فقالت كان يصوم شعبان كله حتى يصله برمضان
Its isnad is sahih. Tirmidhi transmitted it in "Sawm," in the chapter "What Has Been Reported Concerning Fasting on Monday and Thursday," hadith no. 745, from the hadith of Thawr through the same chain, and he said, "Hasan gharib." The preceding hadith serves as a corroborating witness for it.
