The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Ansar are my inner garment, and other people are my outer garment. If people were to take one valley or mountain pass and the Ansar were to take another, I would follow the valley of the Ansar. Were it not for the Hijrah, I would have been one of the Ansar."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم حدثنا ابن أبي فديك
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال الأنصار شعار والناس دثار ولو أن الناس استقبلوا واديا أو شعبا واستقبلت الأنصار واديا لسلكت وادي الأنصار ولولا الهجرة لكنت امرأ من الأنصار
