The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept saying during the illness in which he died, "The prayer, and those whom your right hands possess." He continued repeating these words until his tongue could barely pronounce them.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا يزيد بن هارون حدثنا همام عن قتادة عن صالح أبي الخليل عن سفينة
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يقول في مرضه الذي توفي فيه الصلاة وما ملكت أيمانكم فما زال يقولها حتى ما يفيض بها لسانه
[Its chain is daif] Ahmad narrated it in 6/311, 321 from the hadith of Hammam by this same route, and Busiri said, "Its chain is sahih according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs." Qatada narrated using "an" (ambiguous transmission), as noted previously, no. 175. This hadith has corroborating narrations, but they are all flawed, see nos. 2697, 2698.
