Do not insult the companions of Muhammad ﷺ, for a single moment any one of them spent in his presence is better than the lifetime of deeds of any one of you.

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ahmad reported it in his book Fadail al-Sahabah: 15, from Waki, through this chain.Sufyan Thawri is mentioned among those who practiced tadlis, though his tadlis was minor (he is placed in the second rank in Tabaqat Mudallisin), and I did not find an explicit statement that he heard this directly. Busiri said, "This chain of transmission is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy."
