The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by the women of Abd al-Ashhal who were weeping for their dead from the Battle of Uhud. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "But Hamza has no women to weep for him."So the women of the Ansar came and began weeping for Hamza. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ awoke and said, "Woe to them, have they not gone home yet? Tell them to return, and let them not weep over any deceased person after this day."

أن رسول الله ﷺ مر بنساء عبد الأشهل يبكين هلكاهن يوم أحد فقال رسول الله ﷺ لكن حمزة لا بواكي له فجاء نساء الأنصار يبكين حمزة فاستيقظ رسول الله ﷺ فقال ويحهن ما انقلبن بعد مروهن فلينقلبن ولا يبكين على هالك بعد اليوم
Sourcing, [its chain of transmission is hasan] Ahmad narrated it, 2/84, 40, 92, through several routes from Usamah with this wording, and he is hasan al-hadith as mentioned before, hadith 1072. Usamah also narrated it from Zuhri from Anas with similar wording, and Hakim narrated it, 1/381, grading it sahih according to the criterion of Muslim, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Its basic wording is found in Sunan Abu Dawud, hadith 3136, and elsewhere.
