The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been harmed for the sake of Allah as no one else has been harmed, and I have been put in fear for the sake of Allah as no one else has been put in fear. Three days have passed during which Bilal and I had no food that any living creature could eat, except for what Bilal could conceal under his armpit."
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع عن حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت
قال رسول الله ﷺ لقد أوذيت في الله وما يؤذى أحد ولقد أخفت في الله وما يخاف أحد ولقد أتت علي ثالثة وما لي ولبلال طعام يأكله ذو كبد إلا ما وارى إبط بلال
Its isnad is sahih. Tirmidhi transmitted it in Sifat al-Qiyamah, in the chapter on the hadiths of Ayesha, Anas, Ali, and Abu Hurairah, etc, hadith 2472, from the hadith of Hammad, by the same route, and he said, hasan sahih. Ibn Hibban also graded it sahih, hadith 2528.
