Umm Sharik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to recite the Opening of the Book over the deceased during the funeral prayer.

[Hasan]. Tabarani transmitted it in al-Kabir 25/97, no. 252, via Hammad bin Bashir Jahdami, from Abu Abdullah Shami (Marzuq), from Shahr bin Hawshab, with this wording. Shahr's hadith is hasan, as I established in Nayl al-Maqsud fi Takhrij Sunan Abi Dawud, see no. 2704. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Tabarani and elsewhere, see Majma al-Zawaid 3/32 if you wish.
