The Prophet ﷺ recited the Opening of the Book over the funeral.
حدثنا أحمد بن منيع حدثنا زيد بن الحباب حدثنا إبراهيم بن عثمان عن الحكم عن مقسم
أن النبي ﷺ قرأ على الجنازة بفاتحة الكتاب
Its chain of transmission is very daif.Tirmidhi transmitted it in the book of funerals, in the chapter on what has been narrated about reciting Fatihatul-Kitab over the funeral, hadith no. 1026, from Ahmad bin Mani, with this chain. He said, "Its chain of transmission is not that strong. Ibrahim is Ibn Uthman, who is Abu Shayba Wasiti, and his hadith is munkar." End of quote. Shubah declared him a liar, as mentioned in Umdatul-Qari and elsewhere. Hafiz said, "His hadith is to be abandoned" (Taqrib).
