The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from al-Baqi and found me suffering from a headache, saying, "Oh, my head!"He said, "Rather, Ayesha, it is I who should say, 'Oh, my head!'"Then he said, "What harm would it do you if you died before me, so that I could take charge of you, wash you, shroud you, pray over you, and bury you?"

رجع رسول الله ﷺ من البقيع فوجدني وأنا أجد صداعا في رأسي وأنا أقول وا رأساه فقال بل أنا يا عائشة وا رأساه ثم قال ما ضرك لو مت قبلي فقمت عليك فغسلتك وكفنتك وصليت عليك ودفنتك
Its chain is daif. Ahmad narrated it (7:228) with this wording, and Daraqutni narrated it through his route (2:74). Ibn Hibban graded it sahih in al-Ihsan (6:586) and others did as well.Ibn Ishaq stated explicitly that he heard it directly, as recorded in Dalail by Bayhaqi (7:168, 199) and in al-Sirah by Ibn Hisham, but Zuhri narrated with "an" (without stating direct hearing). Some parts of the hadith have corroborating narrations in Bukhari and elsewhere.
