I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever visits his Muslim brother to check on him while he is sick walks among the harvested fruits of Paradise until he sits down. Once he sits, mercy envelops him. If the visit is in the morning, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until evening, and if it is in the evening, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until morning."

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من أتى أخاه المسلم عائدا مشى في خرافة الجنة حتى يجلس فإذا جلس غمرته الرحمة فإن كان غدوة صلى عليه سبعون ألف ملك حتى يمسي وإن كان مساء صلى عليه سبعون ألف ملك حتى يصبح
[Hasan] Reported by Abu Dawud, Funerals, Chapter on the merit of visiting the sick while in a state of wudu, no. 3098, from Uthman through this route. Hakim graded it sahih, and Dhahabi agreed.Amash used the vague form "anaan" as previously noted, no. 178, just as his teacher Hakam bin Utayba did, no. 1192. It has corroborating narrations in Ibn Hibban, no. 710, and elsewhere.
