He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There is no servant who prostrates to Allah a single prostration except that Allah records for him a good deed, erases from him a bad deed, and raises him by it a degree. So increase your prostrations."

أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول ما من عبد يسجد لله سجدة إلا كتب الله له بها حسنة ومحا عنه بها سيئة ورفع له بها درجة فاستكثروا من السجود
Sourcing, sahih. Abu Naeem narrated it in Hilyah 5/130 from the hadith of Walid with the same wording, and he explicitly stated that he heard it from his teacher Khalid. Busiri graded it daif because of Walid's use of the ambiguous transmission formula "an," hadith 255, but it has many corroborating witnesses, including the preceding hadith.
